Ioannis Leontis was born on March 23, 1984. He received his Bachelor in physics from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2007. He continued his post graduate studies at the master Program “Nanoscience & Nanotechnologies” of the Aristotelio University in Thessaloniki.

He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at NCSR Demokritos/IMEL in Athens, Greece in collaboration with the University of Patras. The main subject of his work is the development of silicon nanowires for solar cells applications.
